About our services

The focus of Palliative Care is addressing the discomfort and stress of serious and chronic illness, such as Alzhiemers, Parkinson’s and ALS, with the benefit of reducing anxiety, confusion and depression for the patient. Palliative Care also helps alleviate family concerns over giving their loved one exactly what they want without having to manage it by themselves.

We help to deliver a unique plan of palliative care based on the goals of the patient and family and work collaboratively with individuals, families, doctors, and support staff to adjust plans as needed. Palliative care can begin at diagnosis of chronic illness and continue alongside curative care.

The cost of palliative care can be managed through insurers, on a private basis or if eligible through Government Home Care Packages. Visit www.myagedcare.gov.au to find out more or call one of our Case Managers who will be able to provide you with advice.

How can Nextt help?

Nextt has 50 years experience in helping clients live how they want to. Our skilled staff (minimum certificate III qualified) are adept at helping clients to manage their symptoms, and providing a welcome break to carers. Above all, we help maintain a sense of the familiar by helping clients stay in their home surrounded by their family and belongings, creating important continuity.

For clients with more complex requirements, Nextt can provide ongoing nursing in the home through a dedicated team consisting of highly experienced registered nurses, enrolled nurses and assistants in nursing. All nurses maintain strong relationships with GPs, specialists and allied health personnel, with a regular reporting program to ensure all clinical professionals can make the best decisions based on the most up-to-date information. Our Nursing service can be provided as part of a Home Care Package or on a private basis.

For carers, we can provide access to more services such as respite breaks – be it a holiday or in the community or ongoing in-home respite for carers.

We were so lucky to have you girls right up to the day Dad passed. The highlight of his day was waiting for the girls to come morning and night. He would make sure he had had a shave before the girls got there and wait at at work station to show them his latest wooded money box he had made. He love the girls idea on what to build next and I'm sure most of the girls will remember him when they look at his gifts he had made them. Without the girls morning and night mum and dad would not have stayed home that long together.

He always said that he never wanted to go in a home that he was so independent and that nccc helped him see that goal through. She said that he used to wait for the girl everyday and would talk about them for hours after. When we arrived he would have everything set up for us ready to go. He would never miss a visit.
